Frosted

e all love glass tabletops, but lets face it, they get scratched, and then we don’t love them so much. I discovered a solution for that: sandblasting. If you have a scratched glass tabletop, and are lucky enough to have a sandblaster in your area, simply ask them to blast over the scratches. Of course you are left with a “frosted” look, but sometimes that look is better.

Glass isn’t the only thing that can be sandblasted. I found this metal table base outside at the salvage yard. Its paint was peeling, it was rusty, and it didn’t have a top. I found a scratched glass top to match, and took both pieces to the sandblaster. After the base was blasted, I sprayed it with primer, then paint, and gave it a buff with steal wool. All I had to do with the glass top was set it on the base. Its amazing what you can create when you salvage.

That looks really great Nicky.. Is that birdbath for sale? And I often tell my facialist person who does Microdermabrasion that I want to “Sandblast” my face 🙂
