Move over succulents, it's time for spider plants to make a comeback!
Well, that's the way I see it anyway.
A couple weeks ago, someone left a box of spiderettes in the recycle pile at Redux. I couldn't stand to see the little plants lying limp and dry, so I gathered a dozen jars and glasses, and started rooting them in water. (You might recall seeing a couple in my last post).

Let me start by saying how much I hate painting furniture. I've come to accept there's no such thing as easily painting anything. Give yourself at least a week to clean and sand, apply 3 coats of paint, then 3 coats of finish, and don't forget to sand in-between coats, and give yourself extra time to fix mistakes. If you're like me and operate on stolen moments, give yourself two weeks.

There's something really cool and fun about table legs shaped like lion's legs. Last month I came across a pair of these oak bases missing their table top. Apparently the top had been used as a stage at an art show, and no one knew what became of it after that.
